Reasonable. Rational. Ruthless. (Goal setting)
“Brute force without direction is destruction.”
I heard this phrase recently, and I had to share my thoughts on what this means to me and goal setting (in life and fitness)
Are you off target or is your target off? 🤔
Some food for thought as we enter a challenging season. Summer is here, bbq’s, parties, long summer nights, an array of temptations seem to be everywhere we look.

Sometimes our goals need to shift towards the actual season we are in (summer, winter, fall, spring) or a season of life (think bigger life events, milestones, change of career, relationships, etc.)
This doesn’t mean we stop everything we are doing or let ourselves go down a rabbit hole.
“This too shall pass” — One of my favorite mantra’s when life gets tough…
Allow yourself to channel the type of energy you need in order to be effective and efficient given the season of life you're experiencing.
If you hit traffic on the highway, sure, you might get frustrated and time will move slow. This doesn’t mean you turn around and go back to where you started.
Keep moving forward you will eventually be back to full speed.
A GPS will give you the exact directions and estimated time of arrival if you follow the process, just like your goals.
Bringing this full circle, we MUST set our coordinates appropriately. I believe we should seek goals that are reasonable, rational and ruthless to push ourselves during the right season of life. We don’t ever STOP completely. Understanding yourself to know which season of life you are in is a skillset in of itself.
